Junior School Certificate exam begins Nov 1

The Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations under the current academic year is going to begin from November 1, 2017 across the country. 

This year, a total of 24,68,820 examinees are expected to sit for the examination from 28,628 schools under 2,834 centers. Of the total candidates 11,44,778  examinee are male and 13,24,042 are female. 

Number of female candidate increased to 1,79,264 comparing their counterpart this year. However, total number of examinee was 24,12,775 in 2016. 

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid asked the examinees to enter their respective examination halls before 30 minutes of the scheduled exam time. He said none would be allowed to carry mobile phone in the exam halls except exam halls secretaries. The secretaries could carry a simple mobile phone for maintaining communication during the examinations, he added.

The examinations are scheduled to end on November 18, 2017.
